Burlington is growing — and so is its need for the gospel. With 12 languages spoken, 6 ethnicities represented, and nearly 72% of residents uninvolved in any faith community, we believe God has placed The Oaks here on purpose.
We're not here to build a program — we're here to love our neighbors, reach the nations, and equip every generation to say yes to Jesus. Whether you've been following Christ for decades or you're just beginning to ask questions, there is a place for you here.
Led by Mike and Stephanie Mitchener — who have 30+ years of ministry experience, including planting Westside Fellowship — The Oaks is launching in Burlington in Fall 2026. God called them here, and they're going all in.

Is it possible for a church to be the answer to Jesus' prayer, instead of the reason for it? The Oaks Community Church exists to be exactly that — a church that loves God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and makes a significant difference in the lives of our neighbors.

To carry out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission by loving our neighbors, reaching the nations, and making disciples who make disciples.
Our Motto
Kingdom over Comfort. Sacrifice over Selfishness. Eternal over Easy. We want to be a people willing to say "you before me" for the cause of Christ.
